Located on the banks of river Godavari, in Triyambak town near Nasik, the temple shows all the three forms of God namely Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshvara in the form of one idol; hence, the name Triambakeshwar. Miracles, since time immemorial, have made this place a very popular pilgrim spot. The legend states that a dead cow came alive here, because of the mighty power of Lord Shiva.
