The Shiv Mandir was founded on 27.03.1995 on the day of Mahashivratri inaugurated by Jagadguru Shri.Shri.Shri.Bharathi Theertha Swamiji of Shringeri Matt. The specialty of the temple is the statue of Lord Shiva which is about 65ft tall. Another special feature is the 32 ft tall statue of Lord Ganesha. The main deity is the Lord Bholenath for which special poojas and abisheks are performed and besides this they also have a special abisheka ling where devotees themselves are allowed to perform the abisheka. The major attraction is the Jyothir Ling Yatra, which has the Miniature representation of 13 jyothirlingas present in India including the Amarnath ice ling. Other attractions are the Miracle Spot, Paap Naash Diya, Hawan and Manasarovar pond just in front of Lord Shiva. There is also the special Navagraha present inside a globe.
The main deity is Lord Bholenath in the form of a ling. Prana prathistapana for this ling was done by Shri.Shri.Shri.Bharathi Theertha Swamiji of Shringeri Matt. Archana and various abisheks including Rudrabishek are performed on this ling. Mangal aarthi happens between 7.00-7.30pm everyday. Pradosha pooja is performed at the special abishek ling where devotees get a chance to perform abisheka with their own hands to the Lord. The major attraction is the Jyothir Ling yatra (with animations), where devotees can actually visit all the Jothirlingas in India, Mahakaleshwar, Kashi Vishwanath, Mallikarjun, Nageshwar, Rameshwar, Somnath, Grushneshwar, Vaidyanath, Mamleshwar, Bheemashankar, Triambakeshwar, Kedarnath alongwith Amarnath. Added to this is the special Navagraha area having all the 9 planets present and the special attraction is the presence of their family alongside which is rare to find.
The spirituality of the temple evokes the belief in people that miracles do happen if they pray with full faith. The temple is being managed by Humanitarian Hands Trust, an autonomous NGO, whose vision is to spread the power of faith in Lord and to maximize service to suffering humanity.
