"Kedarnath - the ling of the Himalayas!"
This shrine is situated at the origin of the river Mandakini at an elevation of 11,735 feet above sea level. It is the most ancient and holiest of all Jyotirlings and also the most visited pilgrimage center in India. Pandavas had once taken refuge here in the caves of Kedarnath, also known as Sumeru Parvata. Those who make efforts to come here and worship the Lord are specially blessed.
